Decorating for the holidays starts earlier and earlier! Lights, shiny balls and artificial trees were adorning stores and malls well before Halloween this year! I guess nothing should surprise us since it is 2020, right?
As I researched photos we would all drool over for our own home decor, I was especially drawn to nature's boughs of spruce, pine and eucalyptus for that old fashioned Christmas and Holiday spirit of days gone by. 🎄
For me, nothing gets me in the spirit better than the fresh smell of Balsam Fir - albeit the real deal or a candle. Add a little Bing Crosby and spiced warm wine and you have an evening for creating new memories as well as reminiscing celebrations from the past. (And no, I am not dating myself with good ole Bing since my son and his wife love the old crooners as well as I do 😉)
The selection which follows are but a few of my favorite holiday decorations - Christmas and Hanukkah alike. No matter how or what you choose to celebrate ~ a few pine branches, sparkly lights and a bit of imagination will go a long way to creating a welcoming home for friends and family.
I for one am so grateful for all I have experienced and learned this year... and will not waste any opportunity to tell my loved ones how I feel about them!
